So you want to learn to how to stop your dog whining? There is something about the sound of  dog whining that irritates many people. Whining is usually a natural behaviour that dogs use to communicate that there may be something that they want. Mature dogs, when and if they discover that humans can be trained the same way will use whining to get what they want.

If your dog is often a whiner it’s critical to take note of what you might be doing when the pet begins to whine. It may well commence to whine when:

You might be eating something he would like.

You are outside or inside and also the pet wishes in or out to be with you. Set him inside kennel or crate when he needs to visit outdoors.

Most owners agree that whining to go outside to eliminate would be the only acceptable whining that there is. For this kind of whining immediately let the dog out of doors to visit the bathroom. Do not engage in any additional play, however it would be acceptable to praise the pet mildly for letting you know that it needed to go out. Try to monitor this closely and anticipate if  your dog wants visit the toilet.

Stopping your dog from whining. Removing this habit out of your dog’s habits is incredibly similar to the way you end a child from whining, ignore the dog when it is whining, and attend to it when there is silence. Even telling the dog to stop is going to be giving attention, so totally ignoring is best.

In addition test:

Give several commands inside a row like sit, come, stay, down and so on for getting the dog focused on a productive and positive pattern. Reward the dog for completing the actions and invest some time with the pet after he or she is quiet. Put the kennel or crate in a room that’s distant from you. This will avoid the temptation of responding to the whining, either verbally or by giving in.

Make the kennel or crate a comfortable place. Place toys and comfortable blankets in it to make it a pleasant location to be. Commence with short session and gradually increase so the dog becomes accustomed to being crated. Never leave the puppy inside crate or kennel for extended periods of time or for a punishment. If the dog only whines in particular conditions, look closely at the conditions to establish what is bothering the pet and change them if feasible. Reward the pet for being inside with out whining.  Spend added time with your dog when he is quiet.  This reinforces the good behavior.

If the puppy whines for no apparent purpose, or starts whining when eating, going for the bathroom or when moving, quickly have a vet check the dog. Whining could be a sign of pain. Probably the most critical element is to avoid buying into the whining conduct. If, at any time, you do respond on the pet when it can be whining, the pet quickly understands that it may be rewarded for the behaviour. Stay firm and respond only if your dog is behaving quietly.
