Redcorn say it just beacuse they get same bacteria and plaque humans do, and they need to have something to get it out of there and clean their teeth.. Try givey them bones or chewies.. this usually work really good for our dog... They also sell those 'greenies' at the pet store that are designed to clean their teeth, and freshen their breath!

I used to have a pit bull with breath that smelled like tuna. If its bearable you should just overlook it and it will be funny later on.

If the dogs aren't getting any dental care (dental cleanings) or have gum problems, that could cause rank breath. It is suggested that you brush a dogs teeth regularly.
It is easiest to get them used to it when they are puppies but it will help with their overall health if you can swing it.
